Create In The Mortal World

Open Source

The Word Walkers series may be written by me, but I want to see the stories you build in this setting as well. Building a world takes a lot of work, but it pays off when you see people wanting to live and develop it as much as you. That’s why the themes, characters, settings, and all other attributes of the Word Walker series are open to use under the Attribution Share-Alike Creative Commons License.

This means while the main series will determine canon of the overall series, you are welcome to use this setting for any personal projects of your own, commercial and non-commercial, so long as you credit back to myself as the original author of the setting.

Really? I can publish work based on yours?

Of course! I’m absolutely honored that my setting inspired you to want to credit. So long as you credit me, you’re welcome to. And please share your creations with me on social media.

Is there anything I have to do besides credit you?

You need to make sure you list the appropriate copyright note in your piece, but nothing else.

I of course would love to see the product you make, and I’m happy to help talk about my canon if it would help with your project.

What kind of media does this apply to?

Anything! Books, art, videos, games, comics, TTRPG supplements, anything!

If you’re going to be diving into the canon of Word Walkers, it’s important to know where those canon sources are. Obviously, the books will be the majority of canon, but there are a few more places you can find answers.

You can always contact me as well to ask about the series. I’m happy to talk about Kan’sa and Diana and the world they’re from, so just reach out if you have questions.
